PHFI - Public Health Foundation of India

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is a response to redress the limited institutional capacity in India for strengthening training, research and policy development in the area of Public Health. It is a public private partnership that was collaboratively evolved through consultations with multiple constituencies.

Establishing 6 -8 new institutes of public health
Assisting the growth of existing public health training institutions/departments
Establishing a strong national research network
Generating policy recommendations & developing a vigorous advocacy platform
Facilitating an independent accreditation body

PHFI is autonomously governed and is managed by a fully independent Governing Board that is represented by diverse constituencies. It includes senior government officials, eminent Indian and international academic and scientific leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders.
