Ms. Lakpa is involved in all matters related to functioning of Public Health Foundation of India-Institutional Ethics Committee’s (PHFI-IEC) Secretariat. She works closely with the Member Secretary, Technical lead in the IEC Secretariat and the IEC members. She is responsible for all the administrative tasks of the PHFI-IEC Secretariat and in assisting in the technical tasks related to ethics work. She is the initial contact person for the Investigators and the study teams for enquires on ethics submission.
Her work is to liaise with the reviewers and PIs for sharing feedback and decision on studies submitted to IEC, scheduling of the quarterly IEC meetings, coordinating with PIs and reviewers for periodic updates/submissions on studies and review of progress/closure reports of studies, establish liaison with Research Administration for administrative matters related to ethics functioning when required, management of the Online Ethics submission portal, Preparing budget for the Secretariat, coordinating with the PHFI-IT team and developer to resolve any errors and updating the web contents in the ethics online portal, maintaining documentation related to studies submitted to IEC, assist Member Secretary and Technical Lead in organizing workshops, seminars, training sessions etc. for researchers and reviewers, coordinate with the Research Admin and the secretariat and assist for timely renewal of regulatory approvals and registration of IEC.
