Brief on the Organization:
The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. The Grant supports the advancement of the technical mandate of the organization. This includes work that is being undertaken by the different divisions within the organization (technical & operations). The work will also include developing collaborations and engaging with a variety of stakeholders within and beyond the Organization. This will also be a role in supporting select external facing activities of the Organization.
Technical tasks related to the project, including proposal and project development, stakeholder engagement and collaboration, technical documentation and knowledge management, programmatic support and other project-related duties.
- Proposal and Project Development: Conceptualize, draft, and finalize detailed project proposals and implementation plans focused on strengthening health systems, incorporating evidence-based practices, defined outcomes, timelines, and resource requirements in alignment with national health priorities and donor frameworks.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with government agencies, development partners, academic institutions, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate data-sharing, resource mobilization, and technical collaboration for health systems strengthening initiatives at national and sub-national levels.
- Technical Documentation and Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including white papers, technical briefs, situation analyses, project progress reports, and policy recommendations.
- Programmatic Support and Other Duties: Provide technical and operational support in as directed by the supervisor.
- Travel as required
- Any other task assigned by the Supervisor/ Project PI.
Essential:
- Master of Public Health or equivalent public health degree
Essential:
- 4-7 years of work experience in public health
Desirable:
- Experience of report writing, data analyses, documentation.
