Brief on the Organization:

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health.  PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. Project Brief:

Recent studies on food consumption suggests that consumption of healthy foods and nutrients remain suboptimal, with high sodium, low whole grains, and low fruit intake all contributing to diet-related mortality and disabilities. Healthy food subsidies and unhealthy food taxes can impact dietary behaviors. This study is attempt to   study the utilization of Food Delivery Application and their potential role in shaping dietary patterns and health outcomes across diverse demographic groups.

Job Summary:

Position will be supporting the research team in executing the study and will be responsible for implementing study across three study site.

Deliverables:

The position will perform the following tasks:

  • Support research team in development of implementation plan for the study in three sites
  • Stakeholder coordination
  • Collection of primary data in Delhi, Bhubaneswar and Shillong.
  • Preform data quality checks in the field
  • Coordination at sites to ensure smooth implementation study at the sites
  • Develop data base using electronic data base platforms conduct field testing
  • Documentation and report preparation
  • Representing the project and IIPHD at various forums including meetings, conferences and seminars.
  • Participating in training and teaching activities at IIPH Delhi.
  • Perform any other task as assigned by the project team and PI.
Qualification:

Essential: 

  • MBBS / BVSc / BDS + Post Graduate Degree (MD/MVSc./ MDS/MPH) or any equivalent degree, including integrated PG degrees.
Experience:

Essential:  

  • Around 1-3 years’ post qualification experience
Skills & Competencies:
  • Analysis of data using statistical software
  • Documentation and report writing
