The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health.  PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. Project Brief:

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) in collaboration with Tata Memorial Centre (Mumbai), Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute (Guwahati, Assam) and NIMHANS (Bengaluru), IIT BOMBAY, is implementing a study entitled “Implement and Evaluate CARE (Comprehensive AI-powered ConveRsational IntErface to Quit Tobacco) to improve cessation among tobacco users”. The study proposes the development of a smartphone-based app. and assess its effectiveness. The app will offer tobacco cessation guidance and deliver age-specific messages. App-based solutions for tobacco cessation leverage technology to make support and resources easily accessible to users, promoting a more convenient and personalized approach to quitting tobacco. The proposed app will offer information on the health risks of tobacco, benefits of quitting, and strategies for successful cessation.

Deliverables:
  • Responsible for all administration, HR, and finance-related matters for the study
  • Ensure timely procurement of equipment, release of funds and payment to vendors, etc.
  • Assist in organizing Investigators meetings across the three study sites.
  • Manage vendor hiring in compliance with Institutional policies and facilitate the preparation of agreements between institutes and agencies.
  • Handle departmental clearances and approvals within the institute related to the study.
  • Any other task assigned by VP (Research) pertaining to the above role.
Qualification:

Essential:

  • Graduate in relevant subject/field.
  • PG in a relevant subject/field.
  • For Engineering/IT/CS-First Class Four Years Graduate Degree.
Experience:

Essential:

  • Around 05 Years of Experience.
  • Strong skills in managing administrative tasks, including HR and finance-related matters, ensuring seamless project operations.
  • Experience in overseeing the timely procurement of equipment, managing vendor payments, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies.
  • Ability to assist in organizing meetings and events
  • Proficiency in vendor selection, negotiation, and preparation of agreements/sub-contracts in alignment with institutional requirements.
  • Familiarity with institutional processes for obtaining departmental clearances and approvals related to project activities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to ensure timely execution of administrative and operational tasks.
