Brief on the Organization:

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health.  PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. Project Brief:

The project is related to the establishment of a partnership hub at the India level to engage with partners in India and to interact with partners in Denmark and Kenya.

The vision of the Partnership Hub for India is to create a centralized platform for internal collaboration and coordination and external communication and dissemination across relevant partners and networks that drives coordination, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among partner institutions across India and beyond for the education of health professionals. The Hub will act as a core anchor for strengthening partnerships, enhancing synergies, and supporting programmatic success through organized workshops, symposiums, and collaborative initiatives. Engaging with the broader academic community and external stakeholders to promote continuous learning, innovation, and the dissemination of impactful strategies. Ultimately, the PEP Partnership Hub for India aims to amplify the project’s mission by scaling successful models, documenting achievements, and ensuring sustainable improvements in program implementation within India and other regions.

The Working Groups Facilitator will coordinate workshops, working groups, and conferences, as well as manage the preparation and dissemination of technical materials. The role involves strong organizational, facilitation, and communication skills to ensure seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing among stakeholders.

Deliverables:
  • Lead, facilitate, and moderate Working Group Sessions either virtual, face to face, or a combination of both to ensure objectives are met and effective communication takes place.
  • Guide participants by generating engagement and asking respectful questions, without siding with any of the groups. Prepare facilitation notes and design the agenda, maintain the minutes of meetings, and makes the best use of the stakeholders’ time.
  • Organize and Coordinate Workshops for working group members, managing face-to-face/virtual meetings logistics, agendas, participant engagement, and post-workshop feedback.
  • Support Working Group Operations in developing goals, objectives, and action plans for working groups. Provide ongoing support to maintain momentum and achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Coordinate Development and dissemination of relevant technical resources, reports, and materials needed for working group activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders and Act as a central point of communication for working group members, facilitating effective collaboration and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Identify opportunities for capacity building within working groups
  • Facilitate the exchange of insights, data, best practices, and learning among working groups through various communication channels.
  • Prepare detailed notes, summaries, and reports from working group meetings and workshops, highlighting key discussions, decisions, and action points for follow-up.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of working group processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance engagement and outcomes.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification:

Essential:

  • Master’s degree in development or public health, social science, or related field.
Experience:

Essential:

  • Around 2 years of work experience after masters
  • Strong organizational and project coordination abilities.

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated expertise in facilitating working groups, workshops, and collaborative processes
  • Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
