Brief on the Organization:
The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. Mission Utkarsh is launched by Honorable Prime Minister recently to improve the KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) in 10 selected districts. Central Council of Ayurveda Sciences in collaboration with Ministry of Women and Child Development is rolling out a new initiative to improve anemia levels among adolescent girls registered in AWCs in five tribal districts. IIPHD is collaborating with Central Council of Ayurveda Sciences to support in conducting baseline and endline assessment of the project.
The Consultant- Senior Research Fellow will be responsible for overall coordination of data collection activities in the field to ensure timely completion of field level activities in coordination with all stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
- Working with field teams to ensure quality and accuracy of data
- Develop micro plan for data collection and ensure implementation
- Coordinate with district CPDO, supervisors and AWW to implement the field plan as per SOP.
- Conduct monitoring visits to monitor data collection at AWC
- Coordinate with other stakeholders in the field
- Follow data safety protocols as per SOP
- Perform any other task as assigned by the project team and PI.
Essential:
- Graduate in Science/ Social Work/ Allied health sciences/ Nursing/ mecicine/ AYUSH
Essential:
- 6 months experience of data collection and coordination/ supervision of field team.
Desirable:
- Preference will be given to those possessing higher qualification or have previous research/ project experience, i.e, coordinated/ supervised any research project in the area of public health or nutrition.
- Working knowledge of use of mobile application for data collection.
General Competencies:
- Ability of lead the team and mentor the team
- Effective Communication skills
Leadership Competencies:
- Ability to manage the team’s performance
Documentation:
- Ability to prepare reports, presentations etc.
