I am a nutritionist and holds a Master degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from University of Delhi (India). As a public health professional, I have been involved in designing, implementation, management and evaluation of setting-based, multi-component behavior change interventions for schools, colleges, marginalized communities and workplaces on various health issues, primarily on prevention and control of Non-Communicable Disease (NCDs) risk factors. I have contributed to research studies and programmes focusing on adolescent health, tobacco control and cessation, promotion of healthy diet and physical activity, diabetes and CVD prevention and management, obesity, among youth as well as adults. I have worked closely with various Government Ministries at central and state level and civil society organizations on several health promotion interventions and capacity building efforts. Having membership on various committees including: National Technical Working Group on developing School Health Curriculum under AYUSHMAN BHARAT (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of Human Resource Development-GoI); Members’ Advisory Group formulated by the World Heart Federation (WHF), Member of Working Group for updating the prototype training material for the Programme Staff of National Tobacco Control Programme (National Institute of Health and Family Welfare-NIHFW) and Member of Expert group for developing Implementation Guidelines for the Programme Managers under Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GoI). I am also involved as a Master Trainer for National and State Resource Group (SRG and NRG) on School Health Program under Ayushman Bharat organized by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

I have been involved in designing, implementation, management and evaluation of setting-based, multi-component behavior change interventions for schools, colleges, marginalized communities and workplaces on various health issues. I have a special interest in research related to prevention and control of non-communicable diseases (NCD) in low- and middle-income country settings. I have expertise and experience in qualitative research with designing of qualitative tools, protocols and qualitative data collection. I have published my research work in leading national and international peer reviewed journals and also contributed to book chapters and reports.
