Himanshu is working with the Public Health Foundation of India since 2008. He is currently contributing towards academic activities and research in his position as Director _ Academics at the Indian Institute of Public Health – Delhi. He is a Community Medicine postgraduate from a premier national institute engaged in service, research and training in medical disciplines. He has also acquired a masters’ degree in clinical epidemiology from the University of Sydney – Australia.
He has over 14 years’ experience in public health practice and research. He has served as a doctor in an urban metropolitan hospital with experience of teaching public health to postgraduate medical students, paramedics, and in-service public health professionals over his career. He is the course coordinator for the MPH program at IIPH-Delhi.

His research interests include human resources in health, education for health professionals and program evaluation. He is pursuing opportunities to link evidence-based public health with health programs and policy. He has worked in several research projects in different capacities, from conceptualization, implementation and analysis.
