Dr. Rajmohan Panda

Dr. Rajmohan Panda MD, MPH is an additional professor at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) Delhi. He has a Global Health Leadership master’s degree from Emory University USA. He is certified in a Global Tobacco Control Leadership Program from Johns Hopkins University USA; also, received a Public Health Leader Implementation research certification in Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) from Emory University, USA.
He has worked on diverse public health issues such as Nutrition, Maternal & Child Health (MCH), Tobacco Cessation, and in the designing of health sector reforms for Universal Health Coverage. He has wide experience of using mixed methods research notably in the health services and applied operations and implementation research fields. This has included knowledge and use of implementation science theories and approaches in low resource settings. As a researcher he has been able to secure several competitive large grants; as a principal investigator, he has led study designs using implementation research frameworks in real-world settings that span health clinics and community. He has strong writing skills to clearly, logically, and succinctly communicate research-related information to a range of public health and clinical audiences.
He has substantial contributed in a varieties of academic works ranged from case studies, book chapters, editing practice manuals on pertinent public health issues including prevention of cardio metabolic disorders. Dr. Panda has established significant knowledge of Knowledge Transfer/Knowledge Translation and dissemination best practices from the research projects and has worked widely across India with multiple stakeholders including State Health Departments, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare- Govt. of India, Gates Foundation, USAID, UNICEF, DFID, Wellcome Trust, and Medical research council UK amongst several other institutes. He has been conferred a fellowship as an emerging leader by the World Heart Federation , Geneva, 2016. He is passionate about building capacity in health systems for the prevention of risk factors for cardio metabolic disorders.

He has led several studies on evaluation of Public Health projects/ programs/. He has authored academic case studies on pertinent public health issues ranging from maternal child health to examining system’s capacity in chronic /Non communicable Diseases (NCD).
