Jyoti Sharma is a faculty at Indian Institute of Public Health Delhi, Public Health Foundation of India. She has Master and doctoral degree in Nutrition from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. She was a fellow of future faculty programme of PHFI/ Wellcome trust. As a future faculty fellow she completed M.Sc. in Public health from University of Edinburgh and training in Nutrition Epidemiology from Imperial College, London. She is working for almost 18 years in the field of nutrition.Currently is a faculty lead of Diploma in Public Health Nutrition. She is involved in curriculum development and teaching (major areas – Nutrition Program and Policies, Food Safety, Nutrition Epidemiology, Operations and Implementation Research). She is also faculty lead for development and coordination of public health nutrition course for Department of Public Health Nutrition, Ministry of Public Health, Afghanistan.

Her research is focused on Maternal and Child and Adolescent nutrition and health. She was involved in end line evaluation of fortification of wheat flour implemented by WFP. She was involved in assessment of facility based newborn care and nutrition interventions in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, UP and Gujarat. She worked with health systems in Bihar and Haryana and Jharkhand on implementation research to improve use of data for program planning and interventions . She was also a part of multi-centric study on diagnostic efficacy of Hemoglobin color scale, digital hemoglobinometer and non-invasive method for screening patients for anemia.
Her current research is focusing on Infant and Young Child Nutrition among vulnerable communities, Anemia and Nutrition Policy analysis. She is conducting a study on cultural influences on Infant and Young Child Nutrition in Mewat district of Haryana. She is working on report on SDG-2 road map and situational analysis and review of nutrition policies in India funded by World Food Programme. She is also a part of multi-cnetric study on diagnostic accuracy of hemoglobinometers.
