I am Dr. Arohi Chauhan, a doctor by profession with MD Community Medicine as a background. I have 3.5 years of teaching experience (MBBS and MPH students) and 1.9 years of research experience. I completed my MBBS from Pramukh Swami Medical College, Karamsad, Gujarat and MD Community Medicine from Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College. I worked as a Assistant Professor in Gujarat Adani Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhuj. Following which I had a break in career for six and half years due to personal commitments. During that time I worked as a free lance public health consultant and published research articles on TB, Adolescent health, Biomedical waste management and Yoga therapy.

I was awarded a fellowship from KIRAN division of Department of Science and Technology, for women who have break in career. I am assessing the role of yoga therapy against Tuberculosis in people living with HIV infection. I have also received another fellowship recently from Health System Transforming Platform-Access International to assess the resilience of primary care centers in addressing single and multiple NCDs, especially in context of COVID-19. It is yet to begin. My areas of interest are Health system strengthening with particular focus on interaction between chronic infectious and non-communicable disease. I had completed capacity building program by Indian Health System Collaborative-Access International on gap analysis of NCD risk reduction training in India. I had also completed another Capacity Building Program in Population, Clinical and Basic Data Science for Cancer Research in India” funded by National Cancer Institute, USA and CRDF-Global funding opportunity in collaboration with Emory University, USA, Kaiser Permanente USA and the Public Health Foundation of India. I was also selected for a certificate course on Medical genetics at ICMR-National Institute of Research in Reproductive Health, Medical Genetics Centre, Mumbai sponsored by DHR.
