Anuraag Chaturvedi

Anuraag Chaturvedi has sixteen years of experience in Program Communication, Program Implementation and Research & Evaluation in the areas of Public Health Nutrition and Maternal & Child Health. He has worked with Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), UNICEF (Uttar Pradesh), Flour Fortification Intiative (USA), and Samarthan.

Anuraag, has spearheaded large scale women groups and community mobilization projects in areas of maternal, child health, nutrition and immunization for Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and UNICEF funded projects. As Team Leader, he led a multi-million-dollar Social Behavior Change Communication project that successfully integrated maternal and child health interventions in micro-finance operations of 90,000 self-help groups and successfully scaled adoption of evidence based family health behaviors in one million SHG households in Uttar Pradesh. Presently, he is leading a project team to mainstream and strengthen Behavior Change Communication interventions to improve nutrition outcomes in Government promoted women Self-Help Groups in six districts of Uttar Pradesh state. Previously, in UNICEF, he had successfully led Polio program communication and community mobilization activities in polio epidemic regions of Moradabad and Meerut to reduce resistance for polio vaccine among underserved communities and improved vaccination among children. Anuraag has also worked extensively in areas of Participatory Development, Livelihood and Local Self- Governance with organizations like Samarthan, DPIP, UNICEF, DANIDA, CARE, and Action-aid.

He had been awarded multiple research grants by UNICEF, MCH-STAR (USAID), Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), Government of Madhya Pradesh, World Food Program (WFP) and Emory University(USA). Anuraag is also recipient of Wellcome Trust (U.K) Research fellowship, and Future Faculty Fellowship (USA). He has published multiple papers in national and international journals, and have presented papers in many international conferences.

He is a Ph.D. (Public Health) from Banaras Hindu University, completed his Masters of Public Health (MPH) from Emory University, U.S.A and PGDRM from Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA)
