Madhumita Bango is an inductive public health researcher and her interest lies in evidence-based interventions that target the social determinants of health, aiming to reduce health disparities and enhance population health outcomes. Prior to joining PHFI, she worked as a Research Officer at IIPS, Mumbai and as a Programme Associate at TISS CSR hub, Mumbai. Her academic background includes PhD in Public Health from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai after M.Phil. and Master degrees in Population Studies (MPS) from International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai and having an undergraduate training in Geography from Calcutta University.
Madhumita’s expertise and interest lies in developing quantitative and mixed-method research designs in the broader domain of Public Health with a specific interest in health equity, health needs and challenges faced by the vulnerable populations in accessing healthcare services in India, social exclusion and discrimination, maternal and child health, adolescent health, women workforce participation, etc.
Her research published in various reputed national and international public health journals and she also reviewed research articles for several journals.
