Brief on the Organization:
The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is a public-private initiative that has collaboratively evolved through consultations with multiple constituencies including Indian and international academia, state, and central governments, multi & bi-lateral agencies and civil society groups. PHFI is a response to redress the limited institutional capacity in India for strengthening training, research, and policy development in Public Health. PHFI as SR is implementing the capacity building (Northern Region) and activities management for the HIV component of the GFATM for the period April 2024-March 2027.
The Capacity Building Officer will play the role of implementing, and supporting the initiatives under GFATM Project (North Region).
The key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, supporting the Capacity Building Expert in the assessment of training institutions:
- Ensuring timely and effective delivery of capacity building activities;
- Ensuring logistical arrangements for the training programs;
- Coordination with respective SACS/DACS and training institutions for training plans, fund release and submission of UC and SoE;
- Preparing timely reports (monthly/quarterly/annual);
- Supporting in preparing capacity building plans;
- Supporting in calculating training load;
- Supporting in developing training calendars;
- Supporting in management of data and information.
- Close coordination with all the relevant Stakeholders.
- Administration and Training Management.
- Data Collection, Documentation and Reporting.
- Training Reports, Meeting Reports, Activity Reports.
- The position will require travel as per the need.
- Any other work assigned by the Team Lead/Project Lead
Essential:
- Master’s degree in Social Work/ Sociology/ Social Sciences or related field.
Essential:
- Around 03 years of experience with donor funded projects.
Proven track record of professional, timely and high-quality consultancy assignments in the field of health sector.
