Shalini Bassi is a Public Health Specialist and nutritionist at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), bringing over 20 years of expertise in health promotion and non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention. She holds a Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Master's in Public Administration, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Health Sciences. She has been involved in the designing, implementation, and evaluation of setting-based, multi-component behaviour change interventions. She has led research studies in collaboration with WHO, UNICEF-India, ICMR, Medical Research Council (UK), CDC Foundation, World Heart Federation, American Cancer Society (ACS), NCD Child, Wellcome Trust and NITI Aayog, among others. Through close partnerships with central and state government ministries as well as civil society organizations, she advances health promotion initiatives and capacity-building programs.
