The Public Health Foundation of India (“PHFI”) was formed under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 vide registration certificate number S-54840 dated 8 February 2006.

Registered office of PHFI is at present situated at Property No. Khasra No. 293,294,295, Saidulajab Village, 4th Floor, House Number 60, part of Saidulajab Extn, New Delhi, Delhi, Delhi, 110030.

Income Tax Act, 1961

• The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) has been granted an exemption under Section 12A of the Income Tax Act, 1961, with registration number AABAP4445LE20214 for the assessment years 2022-23 to 2026-27.
• PHFI has been granted approval under section 80G of Income Tax Act 1961 for the assessment years 2022-23 to 2026-27 with registration number AABAP4445L24DL01.
• PHFI has been granted approval under section 35 (1) (ii) of Income Tax Act 1961 for its scientific research activities as per Gazette notification no 13/2010 dated 5th March 2010 and the renewal done up to the Assessment Year 2026–27, with registration number AABAP4445LG20215.

​PHFI is registered for undertaking CSR activities, and the Registration number is CSR00001071.​

​PHFI has registered under Goods & Service Tax (GST). 

PHFI is registered under The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 (FCRA)/ Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Rules, 2011, vide number 231660927.
