Gaurab Lahkar is the Head of Information Technology at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), where he leads the organization’s IT strategy and digital transformation initiatives. With over 16 years of professional experience, he specializes in IT infrastructure management, enterprise systems implementation, software development, and e‑learning technologies.
Gaurab holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications and has extensive expertise in deploying and managing large-scale IT systems, including Oracle E‑Business Suite across Finance,Project Costing & Billing, HRMS, Procurement, OTL and Internet Expenses. He has successfully delivered multiple enterprise projects, including PHFI’s E‑Learning platforms and mission‑critical internal applications.
A skilled Full Stack Python/Django developer, Gaurab has designed and built several web-based systems, most notably PHFI’s Procurement and Asset Management System (PAAMS), deployed on a robust stack using NGINX, Gunicorn, and MariaDB.
His areas of interest include software development, information security, learning management systems, database systems, and artificial intelligence. Beyond work, Gaurab enjoys wildlife photography, cooking, and baking.
