Eunice Lobo is a Research Scientist and Senior Lecturer at the Indian Institute of Public Health Bangalore, and PHFI Centre for Developmental and Lifecourse Research. She completed her PhD from Maastricht University through the Department of Family Medicine at the Care and Public Health Research Institute (CAPHRI). Her doctoral work investigated how caregiver practices, caregiver well-being, and contextual factors shape early childhood development in socio-economically disadvantaged urban settings.
She has more than a decade of experience in research and has worked extensively on projects supported by the Wellcome-DBT India Alliance, MRC–DBT India, World Health Organization, Asian Development Bank, Indian Council of Medical Research, Gates Foundation, PATH, and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Since 2019, she has been working at the Indian Institute of Public Health - Bangalore, with prior affiliation at the Indian Institute of Public Health - Bhubaneswar since 2017. Her earlier experience includes roles at the Foundation for Medical Research, and the Catholic Health Association of India.
She has authored several peer-reviewed articles in national and international journals across early childhood development, infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, etc., and has presented her work at multiple national and international fora. She is also the IHP correspondent for the 2026 cohort of the International Health Policies network, contributing perspectives on health policy and systems from India. She has also been selected for the SPOORTHI leadership program for women in health in the first external cohort.
Beyond research, currently serves as Secretary and Strategic Partnerships Lead of the Developmental Origins of Health and Disease India Regional Society, is an external member of the Institutional Ethics Committee at the Institute of Public Health Bengaluru. She served as the PhD representative at the Institute of Public Health Bengaluru from 2024–2025. She also manages communications and social media for the COINCIDE study and the PHFI Centre for Developmental and Lifecourse Research, including developing the COINCIDE monthly newsletter.
