Research Summary and Interests

My research interest include assessing risk factors for Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs), specially focused on pregnant women and their children. Trans-generational risk factors has an important role which can be prevented to reduce the burden of NCDs in future generation. Physical activity is one such key factor which has tremendous role when we talk about preventing NCDs. Currently I am looking at existing practice of physical activity in pregnancy and screen time spent by them and its impacts on mother and child health. Also working for a birth cohort study specially concerned with Gestational Diabetes and mental health during pregnancy and it impacts on mother and child health along with assessing other parameters such as nutrition, physical activity, air pollution etc.
