Shilpa Sadanand
Assistant Professor

Dr Shilpa Sadanand has a doctorate from National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, India. Dr Sadanand is a Psychologist by training and has worked extensively in the field of mental health, ageing and dementia over the last 10 years. As part of her doctoral research, Ms. Shilpa worked on Type-2 Diabetes and Cognition in Older Adults. As part of research and clinical training at NIMHANS, she has worked on mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, late-onset depression and other geriatric mental health problems. She is trained in social gerontology at the International Institute on Ageing (INIA), United Nations –Malta. In the past, she has been recipient of the Emerging Psychologist Program (EPP) fellowship by International Union of Psychological Science, scholarship by INIA, UN and several travel fellowships by national and international funding agencies.
