Senior Lecturer

Ms. Nilima is working as Senior Lecturer at the Indian Institute of Public Health, Delhi. She has completed her Masters in Statistics from the University of Delhi. She has 5 years of experience in data analysis, mapping and public health research using R, SPSS, GeoDa and QGIS software. She has also served as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Statistics, MAHE, Manipal where she had significant contribution in conducting certificate courses and workshops on Applied Statistics. She has been teaching Biostatistics to the M.PH. students and in short term courses held at IIPHD.

Research Summary and Interests

She was the recipient of Dr. C Chandrasekharan Young Scientist award by the Indian Association for the Study of Population in the year 2018. She received funds from the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoS&PI) in the year 2017 and 2014 for conducting National seminars on Official Statistics in India. Areas of her interest are Spatial statistics, decision tree and their application in health sciences. She has authored articles on Maternal and Child health in several international public health journals.
