She then pursued her Master’s in Environmental Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Karnataka (2011-2013). She completed her PhD in January 2018 from Indian Institute of Technology Madras where she worked on urban air quality and health. She was awarded Gaayathree Devi award for scoring highest CGPA in all the courses registered as a research scholar at IIT Madras during the convocation held in July 2018. Following PhD, she remained at IIT Madras as an institute Postdoctoral Research Fellow until July 2018.
She considers herself as proactive and creative researcher with continuing interest in air quality and health research. She has expertise in urban air quality monitoring, modelling, personal exposure, characterization of atmospheric fine and ultrafine particles and human health risk assessment. She has also handled sophisticated analytical as well as monitoring instruments and has experience in planning and conducting air quality monitoring campaigns, data collection and analysis. During her PhD at IIT Madras, she was awarded the IGCS-DAAD fellowship to visit Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research, Leipzig, Germany where she carried out the PAH analysis associated with ambient particulate matter.
