Dr. Shyam Pingle is a senior Occupational Health Physician in India who is passionate about Occupational Health, Workplace Wellness and Community Health. Dr. Pingle has more than 38 years of professional experience and has worked as Chief of Medical Services in various industries for over 31 years. He has held various leadership positions such as Country Leader of Integrated Health Services with IBM Corporation, Bangalore and as Vice President, Medical & Occupational Health with Reliance Industries Ltd.

Dr. Pingle was awarded ADM Oration, CKR Oration and L&T Oration during national occupational health conferences. He was the National President of Indian Association of Occupational Health during 2009-2011. He has contributed chapters in books on Occupational Health, presented research papers, and delivered key note lectures in several international and national occupational health conferences. He is on the Advisory board of reputed national and international journals, Indian Journal of Occupational & Environmental Medicine and La Medicina del Lavaro, Italy.

Dr. Pingle is a key figure in national and international, corporate & occupational health circle. Dr. Pingle is an active member of the International commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) and has been heading the Scientific Committee on ‘Occupational Health & Development’ as Chair during 2009 – 15. He has been invited as faculty by Swedish National Institute of Working Life, Stockholm and by Ludwig Maximilians University, Munich. Dr. Pingle has been a regular faculty member in Occupational Health programs organized by professional and governmental institutions and various industries. He was the Co-Chair of EHS expert committee of Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industries for 6 years.

Dr. Pingle is an active participant in the promotion and advocacy of occupational health in India and other developing countries. He has facilitated collaborations with governmental organizations, NGOs, Industries, Universities and institutions within and outside the country.
