Dilip Jha
Deputy Project Director

Dilip Jha is working with PHFI as a Deputy Project Director at Training Division. He is a post graduate in Social Anthropology from Delhi University and holds MPhil degree in Hospital & Health Systems Management from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani. He was awarded the NIH funded Global Public Health Leader fellowship in leadership and implementation sciences at the Rollin’s School of Public Health, Emory University in the year 2016. He is a fellow of the International Society for Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention (ISCEP).
He has over 2 decades of experience in research and project/program management in diverse areas of public health and health systems development. He has undertaken large implementation research in Non Communicable Disease (NCDs) including randomised controlled trial of mHealth technology for management of hypertension and diabetes at primary care level. He has also undertaken assessment of tuberculosis, malaria and reproductive & child health programs. He has worked extensively on health systems strengthening that include strengthening HMIS, quality assurance system and inservice training of health personnel. His work on health policy issues include human resource for health, improving mental health system etc.
Currently, he looks after the development and implementation of capacity building programs for healthcare professionals in various clinical and public health domains. This includes training in NCDs, healthcare quality, patient safety and public health management. He has keen interest in health communication.
