Dr Bahl holds a Masters and PhD in Public Health and Nutrition from Delhi University, India. Currently, she is working at the Health Promotion Division of PHFI as Senior Research Associate since 2015 and has more than 12 years of experience. She has experience in conceptualizing, developing, implementing, and evaluating research projects on Non-Communicable Diseases and their risk factors ( diet, physical inactivity, tobacco and alcohol). She has published articles in various peer-reviewed journals and presented her research work at international conferences.

Her research interest lies in primary and secondary research. She is been involved in designing, implementing and evaluating mixed method research in the area of preventing and managing Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and promoting adolescent health and wellbeing. Her other research interests include conducting systematic reviews.
