I am MD Community Medicine (Gold Medalist) and MBBS (Gold Medalist- Community Medicine). I have 1.5 years of research experience and 3.5 years of teaching experience (MBBS and MPH students). I have received a fellowship from KIRAN division of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India for 3 years for the project titled Role of yoga therapy against Tuberculosis in people living with HIV Infection. My areas of interest are Infectious disease epidemiology especially Tuberculosis and HIV.

Research Summary and Interests

My areas of interest are Infectious disease Epidemiology especially TB and HIV. I have 1.5 years of research experience. Genetic sequencing is another area of interest. I have done a one month training on Medical Genetics by NIRRH, Mumbai, ICMR. Currently I am a Principal Investigator for the project titled Role of yoga therapy against TB in PLHIV. It is a 3 year feasibility RCT evaluating the role of yoga therapy in preventing TB among HIV patients having completed Isoniazid prophylactic therapy and on Anti retro viral treatment. It is an ongoing project in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
