Research Assistant, IIPH,Delhi

projna_1Ms. Projna is a Post Graduate in Hospital and Healthcare Management from the Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur. She has also undergone a post graduate certificate programme in Quality Management and Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (QM&AHO) from Academy of Hospital Administration, New Delhi. Her key area of interest lies in  strengthening and streamlining the healthcare delivery system and process through various quality assurance models and programmes.

Currently she is associated with IIPH, Delhi as Research Assistant. in the project titled “Improving Management of Facility Based Newborn Care in Bihar”, a UNICEF, Bihar funded project

Prior to this she has worked with a consultancy firm named MedicaSynergie Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata (May 2008 to Oct 2011) as Associate Consultant, primarily associated in executing and coordinating various quality and accreditation projects like NABH in hospitals. She also worked as project coordinator for the project titled “Support to the Department of Public Health and Family Welfare, Government of Madhya Pradesh to determine baseline prevalence of Nosocomial Infections in select District Hospitals in the state of Madhya Pradesh”. During her three and half years tenure she was also involved into projects pertaining to Preparation of Institutional Strengthening Plan/Master Plan for Seven District Hospitals of Assam (funded by SHS, Assam and NRHM, Assam), Preparation of Infrastructure Expansion Plan for Bishnupur Sub divisional Hospital, West Bengal, Development of Patient Centered Infrastructure Master Plans for three medical college hospitals and Capital Hospital of Orissa (DFID funded project).

By virtue of her experience she has gained an expertise in some specialized areas of the domain of healthcare and hospital management. Her competencies include Hospital services/facilities assessment, gap analysis of infrastructure, Infrastructure expansion/up gradation and space planning, Services and systems/processes review, Hospital infection control, Documentation process and Development of quality indicators.

During these years, she has worked with the government and international donor agencies on programme development and implementation projects, which have helped her, develop skills in project management, project documentation, analytical abilities and effective communication.
