Anjali Singh has rich experience in public health with special focus on STI/HIV/AIDS and reproductive and child health with various international organizations such as Family Health International (in a sex workers project supported by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation), Population Services International, India Canada Collaborative HIV/AIDS Project (a bilateral project funded by Canadian International Development Agency) and CARE India. She has played diverse roles in various project management capacities in development & management of projects, research, trainings and advocacy with NGOs and various senior government officials of Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Furthermore, she provided technical and strategic support to State AIDS Control Society (SACS) and partner NGOs in the two states and undertook baseline and evaluation projects. She has participated in and supervised a range of research studies on HIV and health systems. She has gained sound understanding of grass-roots level health issues and government systems and has been instrumental in implementation of health programs at grass-roots level. While implementing social marketing strategies for the health products she learnt various aspects of business that can benefit public health. She is passionate about Behaviour Change Communications (BCC) and has implemented various models of BCC at the community level for a diverse population. She has presented papers on HIV/AIDS in international conferences and has published papers in public health.

Anjali Singh is currently engaged in developing and teaching courses of Public Health Management and Health Economics, Health Policy and Health Care Financing at IIPH Delhi. Apart from teaching, she is involved in research projects on maternal and child health such as ‘Situational analysis of adolescent pregnancy among married adolescents’, legal rights such as ‘Assessment of implementation status of PCPNDT Act in India’ and health systems such as ‘Understanding regulatory processes in context of TB medicines’ . She is also involved in developing new academic courses at the institute.

Anjali received Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Indian Legislative Law from Kurukshetra University, and Bachelor of Science from Punjab University Chandigarh, India. Her key areas of interest include STI/HIV/AIDS, reproductive and child health, adolescent health, health communications, program management and monitoring and evaluation.
