The second research symposium for PHFI-IIPH researchers has been scheduled to be organized at Hyderabad on March 15-16, 2012. The research symposium aims to bring together researchers from different PHFI campuses to present their work, increase cross-campuses dialogue and evolve a shared vision of research at PHFI. The symposium will consist of two broad components. Around 30 short research sketches will be presented by researchers whose abstracts have been shortlisted along with presentations on research administration, finance and ethics.
An additional component in this year’s symposium will be the inclusion of two series of round table discussions to facilitate cross-campus conversations in specific research areas.
The first set of round tables will be related to six focus areas or clusters of researchers, as follows:
Maternal, Child Health and Nutrition
NCDs
Infectious Diseases
Social Determinants of Health
Health Economics and Financing
Health System Research
The second set of roundtables will be more researcher-driven and oriented towards projects on the lines of HLEG, HIV, Immunization, etc.
